This website is a blank page.
Why? Well, for one thing, over the next few months, our website will be under construction.
For another, it represents the exciting things that are happening right now at the Temple City Schools Foundation, an organization
that provides funding and programs that create educational opportunities for our children.
In
this case, a blank page doesn't mean nothing is here. A blank page is an invitation to create something new. A blank page
means anything is possible.
Under the surface of this blank page, our board and volunteers
are working hard to redesign the Temple City Schools Foundation. While our past is filled with great work such as providing
mini-grants that support teachers' creative projects in subjects from art to math, as well as large technology grants that
enable K-8 students to develop a love of reading through increased access to the Accelerated Reader program, we know that
we can do even more. We are revamping almost everything from our programs and communications to our board and volunteer opportunities
-- all to realize our vision of a community where children reach their full potential.
If
you want to make a difference in our schools and community, then this is a great time for you to get involved. With so much
changing, we are in a stage of pure possibility, and we welcome your input into how we can harness the community's time, talents,
and resources towards creating an amazing learning environment in our school district.
Please
feel free to drop by one of our monthly meetings which are held on the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm in the Temple
City School District's board room or to drop us a line via email. We look forward to getting to know you.
